A Better Tomorrow

For Every Child, Every Family, Every Village

We are a faith-based non-profit organization that works in Ghana, West Africa, to help break the cycle of poverty by equipping the Ghanaian people with the knowledge and resources to become self-sustaining by creating economic development, access to education and healthcare and experience an opportunity to grow in their faith.

The mission of ODI is to see lives transform from barely surviving to thriving.

Our Story

ODI was founded in 2007 when Jim Sullivan, a retired pastor and businessman, went on a pilgrimage to Ghana. Jim was drawn to the people of Ghana because of their culture, traditions, and desire to move beyond the extreme poverty that has besieged their country for generations.

Our Projects

Kontonso Medical Clinic

Kontonso medical clinic site

There are only 23 nurses and one motorcycle to reach all 9 villages Ahyiayemu Healthcare Center serves. Villagers are dying because these dedicated nurses can’t get to them.

They have only one exam bed. Three women having a baby at the same time means two women will be on the floor to give birth.

They need an additional motor vehicle, nebulizers for breathing emergencies, vaccines for preventive care, additional beds, and more!

The Ahyiayemu Healthcare Center Serving Nine Villages

ODI has a goal of raising $20,000 to help this medical center in Kontonso with tools and equipment to accomplish its mission of providing much-needed health care in these surrounding villages.

What Would It Take to Have a Better Tomorrow?

It takes commitment, dedication, and the following core pillars of ODI to effectively serve every rural village:

  • Economic Development — helping develop their natural asset (such as the land) to become fruitful for Ghana.

  • Healthcare — assisting the villages with preventive and critical care including reducing deaths from malaria, typhoid, and childbirth.

  • Education — meeting the excellent minds in Ghana with the opportunity to go beyond the 1st or 2nd grade while making education a useful tool for the villagers.

  • Faith and Service — providing the Gospel message for eternal understanding.

Who We Are

Operation Dignity International (ODI) stands on four pillars of service

Faith & Service

Faith & Service

We are a faith-based organization using our faith as a guiding principal for the work we do in Ghana. Click below to view our statement of faith.

Economic Development

Farming is a way that we can help the Ghanaians generate an income so they can support themselves and their families. Check out the Ghana Project for more details.

Education

Education

Due to the extreme poverty very few children have access to education. We want to help provide education for these kids so that they are able to have more job opportunities in the future.

Medical

Medical

There is a significant need for medical assistance in Ghana. We have had the privileged of sending several medical teams over to care for the underprivileged and to teach basic healthcare and hygiene.

Get in touch.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Exciting Opportunities

ODI has bought 500 acres in central Ghana. The goal is to develop the land into a training farm in order to teach people how to farm. This will help ease poverty, increase opportunities, and to change the outcome for many people who deserve to hope, dream, and live a thriving life of dignity and possibilities.

We are currently working on the agricultural development of this land. Click the link to visit our farming page and see updates on current projects and progress!
